Types of Solar Control Glass for Enhanced Efficiency and Comfort
At Euroview, we offer a wide range of solar control glass thicknesses from 6mm to 12mm, with various IGU options, including double and triple glazing, as well as structural and spandrel units. We stock these glass types in sizes up to 6000mm x 3210mm to meet diverse project requirements
COOL-LITE® SKN 175 (annealed) and COOL-LITE® SKN 175 II (to-be-tempered) are part of the Saint-Gobain Glass range of COOL-LITE® solar control coatings with high light transmission (TL=70% in DGU) combined with a low solar factor (35%), oering outstanding selectivity of 2.00. COOL-LITE® SKN 175 (II) is a highly selective, solar control glass with leading aesthetics. A product developed to enable adaptability, as we work with our customers and partners to make the world a better home
COOL-LITE® SKN 176 (II) is part of the Saint-Gobain Glass range of COOL-LITE® solar control coatings with high light transmission (TL=70% in DGU) combined with a low solar factor (37%); oering high selectivity. COOL-LITE® SKN 176 (II) is a selective, solar control glass with leading aesthetics. A product that provides a solution for commercial and high end residential buildings, that demand high performance glazing.
COOL-LITE® SKN 183 (II) is a high performing, coated glass, with the highest light transmission in the COOL-LITE® range (TL=75% in DGU) combined with a low solar factor (40%), high selectivity (S=1.88) and neutral aesthetics. It is an ideal product for facades including curtain walls, window band facades and punctuated facades, in commercial and high end, residential buildings; where a high level of daylight is desired with no compromise on performance.
With COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 (II), projects will benefit from the latest innovation in high performance solar control coatings. The introduction of COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 and 61/29 II fit into the work already started several years ago by Saint-Gobain to oer world class selectivity coating with outstanding aesthetic. This new generation of triple silver coating is characterised by an improved neutral appearance, regardless of the viewing angle, lowered reflection and outstanding performances for annealed and “to-be-tempered” glass.
Extremely selective solar control coatings with high light transmission No other high-performance, solar control glass, is as neutral and transparent as COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 and 70/33 II. This exceptional glass floods inside spaces with natural light, whilst blocking two thirds of solar heat. It delivers an outstanding ratio between daylight and solar heat protection, with a selectivity of 2.12
Types of Low Emission Glass for Enhanced Energy Efficiency
At Euroview, we offer a wide range of Low Emission glass thicknesses from 4mm to 12mm, along with various IGU options including double and triple glazing, structural units, and spandrel glass. We stock these glass types in sizes up to 6000mm x 3210mm to meet diverse project needs.
SGG PLANITHERM® ONE FG offers the most advanced thermal insulation performance within the PLANITHERM® family, Europe’s best-selling low-emissivity (low-E) glass and a leading offline low-E coating brand in the UK.
SGG PLANITHERM® ULTRA Nii boasts an optimal centre-pane U-value of 1.1W/m²K (90% argon-filled), enhancing window U-values for all frame types and meeting current Building Regulations. Ideal for commercial applications with steel and aluminium frames, it reduces heating requirements and lowers heating bills, offering an eco-friendly solution by cutting CO₂ emissions.
This glass eliminates cold areas around windows, maximises living and working spaces, and reduces inner pane condensation. Its neutral appearance in both transmission and reflection allows for maximum natural daylight entry.
Fire Resistant Glass Types
At Euroview Architectural Glass, We offer a wide range of fire resistant glass manufactured into our IGU’s with various options of IGU including double and triple glaze, as well as structural and spandrel units.
Tried, Tested & Trusted fire protection against heat, flames and hot gases. The Pilkington Pyrostop® Range is a clear, laminated fully insulating fire-protection and impact-resistant glass. Offering the highest levels of fire protection (integrity and insulation), maximising the available levels of natural light and visibility. Depending on the thickness, it provides impact protection up to Class 1 of BS EN 12600.
Pilkington Pyrostop® is the product to use wherever a complete, physically robust fire protection shield is desired in combination with the high quality through vision and high quality natural lighting typical of normal glazing. The thicker products within the range are based uniquely on Pilkington Optiwhite™high light transmission glass.
In the event of fire Pilkington Pyrostop® turns opaque providing both the integrity requirements of a barrier to hot gases and flames, as well as very effective insulation from the heat of a blaze. As such, Pilkington Pyrostop® complies with the very precise temperature criteria defined in European test standards and ISO test standards.
Using the same technology as Pilkington Pyrostop®, Pilkington Pyrodur® is tried and tested against fire and hot gases.
Pilkington Pyrodur® is widely used and specified in a range of softwood and hardwood timber. Offering up to 60 mins integrity, Pilkington Pyrodur® can combine impact resistance (BS EN 12600) up to Class 1(B)1 and penetration resistance (BS EN 356) to classification P(1)A , which is a requirement in Approved Document Q and recommended in Secured by Design.
In the event of fire, Pilkington Pyrodur® turns opaque providing both the integrity requirements of a barrier to hot gases and flames. As such, Pilkington Pyrodur® complies with British, European and ISO test standards.
Types of Anti-Sun Glass for Enhanced Energy Efficiency
At Euroview, we offer a wide range of Anti-Sun Glass integrated into our IGUs, with options including double and triple glazing, as well as structural and spandrel units.
Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint is body tinted glass available in a choice of colours; Green, Bronze, Grey.
Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint can be used for visual appeal, to reduce glare or where a degree of solar control performance is required. It may be used for exterior and interior applications.
The range of thicknesses available enable glass to be used where superior strength, greater spans, reduced deflection, higher daylight transmission and enhanced noise suppression are required.
Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint can be toughened or laminated or used in Insulating Glass Units.
AGC Glass’s Planibel Coloured Range includes tinted float glasses that provide both aesthetic appeal and solar control. The Bronze variant has a warm, elegant tint; the Grey variant offers a sleek, modern look; and the Green variant provides a fresh, natural aesthetic. Each type reduces glare and heat transmission, enhancing energy efficiency and privacy in architectural applications.
