Introduction To Solar Control Glass
visually soothing environments that promote productivity and enhance the overall experience of occupants. Beyond its immediate benefits, Solar Control glass plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainability objectives, helping buildings achieve higher energy efficiency ratings and contributing to a greener future. As the demand for environmentally conscious design continues to grow, Solar Control glass stands poised at the forefront of innovation, offering a seamless blend of performance, comfort, and sustainability for the buildings of tomorrow.
High light transmission
Available in toughened, heat soaked, heat strengthened, and laminated, Solar Control glass efficiently regulates heat transfer, maintaining stable and comfortable interior temperatures throughout the day. This minimizes the necessity for excessive cooling, leading to significant savings on energy expenses. Additionally, its anti-glare features contribute to a more enjoyable and conducive indoor setting, fostering increased productivity.
Exceptional Solar Control
Our solar control glass significantly reduces heat gain from the sun, maintaining cooler and more comfortable interior environments even during peak sunlight hours.
High Level Of Light Transmission
Low-emission glass provides reduced energy costs, low emissions, and high levels of light transmission, improving efficiency and sustainability.
UV Protection
Our solar control glass blocks harmful UV rays, preventing interior furnishings from fading and protecting occupants from UV exposure while still allowing ample natural light.
Advanced Thermal Insulation
Our high selectivity glass with advanced thermal insulation are popular choices for many architects. The benefits of either of these glass types are that they have a high light transmission which creates year round lighting benefits. They also have a low solar factor, thus reducing the cost of air conditioning. The glass can have a U-value of 1.0W/ m2K, making it the first choice for improving thermal insulation and energy savings. Our high selectivity glass can create more comfortable interiors whilst reducing overheating, ideally suited for façade or overhead glazing in applications which require annealed and toughened or heat treated glass..

COOL-LITE® SKN 175 (annealed) and COOL-LITE® SKN 175 II (to-be-tempered) are part of the Saint-Gobain Glass range of COOL-LITE® solar control coatings with high light transmission (TL=70% in DGU) combined with a low solar factor (35%), oering outstanding selectivity of 2.00. COOL-LITE® SKN 175 (II) is a highly selective, solar control glass with leading aesthetics. A product developed to enable adaptability, as we work with our customers and partners to make the world a better home
COOL-LITE® SKN 176 (II) is part of the Saint-Gobain Glass range of COOL-LITE® solar control coatings with high light transmission (TL=70% in DGU) combined with a low solar factor (37%); oering high selectivity. COOL-LITE® SKN 176 (II) is a selective, solar control glass with leading aesthetics. A product that provides a solution for commercial and high end residential buildings, that demand high performance glazing.
COOL-LITE® SKN 183 (II) is a high performing, coated glass, with the highest light transmission in the COOL-LITE® range (TL=75% in DGU) combined with a low solar factor (40%), high selectivity (S=1.88) and neutral aesthetics. It is an ideal product for facades including curtain walls, window band facades and punctuated facades, in commercial and high end, residential buildings; where a high level of daylight is desired with no compromise on performance.
With COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 (II), projects will benefit from the latest innovation in high performance solar control coatings. The introduction of COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 and 61/29 II fit into the work already started several years ago by Saint-Gobain to oer world class selectivity coating with outstanding aesthetic. This new generation of triple silver coating is characterised by an improved neutral appearance, regardless of the viewing angle, lowered reflection and outstanding performances for annealed and “to-be-tempered” glass.
Extremely selective solar control coatings with high light transmission No other high-performance, solar control glass, is as neutral and transparent as COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 and 70/33 II. This exceptional glass floods inside spaces with natural light, whilst blocking two thirds of solar heat. It delivers an outstanding ratio between daylight and solar heat protection, with a selectivity of 2.12
